A Hamster, Some Reading and A Ballgame

Audrey just made this song up one day and hasn't forgotten it since.

She literally makes up songs this fast, on the spot, all the time!

Kyle's reading!

We sat down the other day with this book from the library that he hadn't seen before and he started recognizing sight words and sounding out others! Two days later he can read the whole book!

This is Kaden singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" which is one of his favorite songs to sing right now.

He gets goofy at the end...I can't ever get him to do what he really does, how he really does it when I get the camera out!

He sings this song all day long - as perfect as a 2 year old can. But when I get the camera out...he is a ham - in a clowning around kind of way - and can't do it how he normally does.

Here's a quiet and short version.

And here's his sad at the end version.

It's funny because when he adds in the word "really" before"care" it sounds like he hears people say "I don't really care" a lot or something. Well, actually, he loves the word really and adds it in front of words all the time. It's his favorite word for some reason and he uses it a lot when it doesn't fit like "I want that really bannana" or "I'm going to play with really lightning McQueen."

I have 10 videos of him goofing around with this song...he is so random! Everytime I try to record him doing something cute that he does a lot, he just can't do it without putting a twist on it!

I am so thankful for our funny guy...he brings so much laughter to our family every day!

Very cute. Did you know Audrey called your mom from my phone at dance? She was soooo sad you forgot her hip hop shoes. I tried not to smile at her sad little face but it was too cute!

Cobie says "Two" instead of more. Like when I give her a glass of water she'll say "No mommy two!' I'm working on getting her to say more. Funny stuff!

Yes, they are really special little kids; we love them SO much. Audrey is so talented and I was really surprised when Kyle read the book to me. But, I just absolutely crack up everytime Kaden sings "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." It is just so cute! MOM

Hey, I'm so glad you took the time to contact me. It would have taken me forever. Just an FYI, I'm not the best a staying up on my blogging. I don't check or update it everyday, so if I don't get back with you quickly that's why.
Your kids are so cute. I really didn't get a chance to talk to them last Saturday.
I lived by Cami for about a year and a half. We were in the same ward and hung out a little bit. Her boy Aaron and my Cooper played a lot together. It's such a small world, that's funny you know her as well.
I'm excited for you to go to DisneyLand. My kids still talk about it. It really exceeded my expectations. I wish I could go back already. Just one word of advice. Make sure you go an hour early and get front row seats on the water front to watch the Fantasmic show. It was one of my favorite parts of Disneyland and really makes it all feel so magical. My kids LOVED it also.
Have fun, let me know when you get back how much fun you all had.
Drive safely,
Jamie

K, first, your kids are ADORABLE - and so smart!

Second, if you're ever "driving through" Vegas again give us a call! You know you always have an open invitation to stay at our house.... We have two empty guest rooms so someone might as well use them! :-)
